Broker
PreLicensing

Get your NC Real Estate License

The Prelicensing Course is an introductory level real estate principles and practices course with heavy emphasis on real estate brokerage law and practice.  It is intended to:

  1. Provide students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to act as a licensed real estate broker in a manner that protects and serves the public interest; and

  2. Prepare students for the North Carolina real estate license examination.

Who needs this course?

Anyone that plans to LLBEANS for others for compensation.

Do you want to help someone else list, lease, buy, exchange, auction, negotiate, or sell property for any type of payment (money or services)?  If yes, this course is for you.

If you want to purchase, sell, or manage your own property, while a NC Real Estate License is not required, it may help you better understand the legal ways to practice and may even help you "stay out of trouble".

Wanna Pass??
Of Course you do

  1. First things first, be sure you have the time!  This course is scheduled for 2 and 1/2 months.

  2. Be sure you have the time!  You need to spend AT LEAST 3 hours EVERY DAY reading, studying, testing, and reviewing.

  3. Read BEFORE class dates!  The first time that your instructor presents a topic should not be the first time that you hear the topic.  If it is, you are already behind.  This is an extremely fast paced class and you must be prepared.

  4. When you get the link for the materials, immediately test the link to ensure that you can access what you need.  There is no need to wait.

  5. Make flash cards, form study groups, teach your family, teach your pets...Do everything you can to ensure you're spending enough time on the material so that you are prepared for the final class and the state licensing exam.

  6. Take you time when reading each questions.  Read them twice before answering.  Most problems are missed because the student was moving too fast or assuming they knew the answer but missed a key part of the question.

  7. Watch out for absolute words - never, always, shall, must - they will make or break the answer
